DESCRIPTION:Brian Coughlin Trio (Prince Edward County Jazz Festival) \nAs part of the Prince Edward County Jazz Festival\, The Grange of Prince Edward Winery’s free Vineyard-Side Music Series welcomes the Brian Coughlin Trio. \nBrian Coughlan is a Belleville-born and raised Saxophone\, Clarinet\, and Flute player\, arranger\, and conductor. He studied music at Humber College in Toronto and spent 33 years performing world wide as a musician in the Canadian Armed Forces. He also played with The New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Symphonies\, the Ottawa\, Winnipeg and Maritime Jazz Orchestras\, and numerous jazz/blues/ pop music groups and in pit orchestras for musicals. Highlights were playing with The Temptations\, Frankie Valli\, Rich Little and Eddie Fisher and a Motown show he wrote for the Nova Scotia Symphony. Presently\, he is busy freelancing and is the musical director/conductor for the Belleville concert band. \nGuests are encouraged to RSVP by emailing events@grangeofprinceedward.com to reserve their spot and receive a complimentary wine tasting.
