DESCRIPTION:The Wellington Recreation Committee presents the annual Canada Day parade beginning at 10:30 am. \nThe parade will be followed by Music in the Park from 12 pm – 2 pm presented by the Prince Edward County Lions Club featuring music by Heartlight. BBQ hotdogs and water will be available by donation.  Rotary Ribs will also be in the park so bring your appetite! \n\n9:00 – 2 pm | Wellington Community Market at the United Church parking lot\n9:00 – 2 pm | Yard sale and The What Not Thrift Shop at Wellington Anglican church\n9:30 – 2 pm | Wellington Library book sale\n9:30 am | Strawberry Social at Wellington United Church (available until sold out!) Begins immediately following the parade until 1:30pm. Cost is $8 for adults & $5 for children under 10.\n10:30 am | Canada Day Parade (begins at Belleville Street and Main Street and runs to Consecon St)\n11 am – 1 pm | Free children’s activities by Chapter and Vine Literary Society including free books from County Kids Read\n12 pm – 2 pm| Music in the Park under the Gazebo and hot dog BBQ presented by Prince Edward County Lions Club\n12 pm | Lunch on the Lawn at Wellington Anglican Church\n12 pm – 2 pm | Rotary Ribs in the Park\n\nThose interested in participating in the parade are encouraged to contact Brenda Little at Brenda.little20@gmail.com.

This is a Canada Day celebration for everyone! There will be live music\, street vendors and fun activities for all ages\, including special activities to celebrate the world’s largest soccer event coming to Canada. Everyone is welcome at this free community event. Activities will take place downtown Picton as well as at Benson Park (56 King Street). \nInflatables\, live entertainment\, buskers\, beer garden\, many giveaways! \nCome celebrate Picton and Canada!
