DESCRIPTION:The Wellington Storehouse Foodbank is in need of BackPacks\, Lunch pails\, water bottles\, pencil cases and school supplies. \nYou can drop off your donation to Wellington Home Hardware\, 289 Main Street any day except Sunday or bring to the Wellington Foodbank\, 304 Niles Street on Wednesdays between 9am and 3pm. \nAn income tax receipt can be given for your donation. If you take your donation to the  Wellington Home Hardware store please leave your name\, address and phone number with the amount you spent so we can issue an income tax receipt. \nThank you for making a difference to the children in our communities!

DESCRIPTION:CONSECON DAY \nAUGUST 8\, 2026 \nThe Ameliasburgh Recreation Committee\, Service Groups and Business Partners Present: \nA fantastic day of fun\, food and entertainment for all ages from 10 am to 8 pm! \nOn CR 29 Hill: Soap Box Derby – Three Age Categories: 7/8\, 9/10\, 11/12. \nRegistration 9:30 am  Races Start at 10:30 am / Awards Ceremony ~12:30 pm \nIn the Park: Welcome Tent / Derby Registration / Face Painting / Balloon Twister / “Friends of Wellers Bay” Kid’s Science / Shire Hall- Municipal Election Engagement / Water Kid’s Fun with the Fire Department / Sabrefit Demonstration. \nIn Between: “Charlie” and “Fiasco Snack Bar” host a patio with food and drink. \nIn the main business area:  Book Sale – Library / Bake Sale- United Church  Community Yard Sales / Hot Dogs and Sausages – Loyalist Masonic Lodge No 50 GRC / Free Cookies & Ice Cream at the Hamlet Store with Collette’s Coffee & Cakes / Twenty-Seven- kid’s activity / Live music\, food and drink from 4:30- 8 pm – Royal Canadian Legion Branch 509. \nAround the Edges: Stratos Pizzeria & Mediterranean Grill and Pampered Pig specials. \nGetting There and Back: Walt’s Sugar Shack guest wagon drawn by Brian and Jane’s Vintage tractor\, making travel easy in Historic Consecon. \nConsecon Day is a traditional event for all family members joining the community for the excitement of the Soap Box Derby and fun for all.
