DESCRIPTION:Fearsome Creatures is a photographic art exhibition that celebrates the beauty and wonder of life in our gardens. \nFollowing a successful debut solo show in July\, G L Barrett returns to County Arts Project Room for a pop-up show that promises a fresh view of the insect world through a macro lens. This time\, the stars of the show are some of the most interesting creatures that live in our gardens\, striking fear into the hearts of many bugs – especially the ones we call “pests”. Elegant Mantises\, fluffy\, wide-eyed Jumpers\, and dino-like Ambush Bugs are all celebrated in this unusual exhibition. \nIf you’ve ever been curious about what’s living in your garden\, you won’t want to miss this fascinating exhibition of photographic art – these are the cutest creepy crawlies you’ve ever seen! \n— Where and When \nThis show is happening at County Arts Lab Project Room\, The Armoury\, 206 Main Street\, Unit 2E\, Picton ON K0K 2TO\, on the following dates:\nSaturday 19 September\, 2026: 10 AM-6 PM\nSunday 20 September\, 2026: 10 AM-6 PM \n— About the Artist \nBritish-born GL Barrett is on a mission to highlight the insect species found in and around Prince Edward County\, raising awareness of the importance of these crucial but oft-overlooked creatures. Through a portrait-style photographic approach\, GL Barrett’s art goes beyond the super-macro to offer a different view into the lives of these\, our unseen neighbours. \nOver the past two years\, GL Barrett’s art has featured in over a dozen shows\, from Kingston to Hamilton and their art can also be found at Arts on Main Gallery in Picton.
